Israeli forces bomb Gaza as ceasefire negotiations with Hamas break down

Gaza’s Civil Defence agency reports that Israeli airstrikes have killed at least 27 Palestinians today, including 10 near a water distribution point.
Yesterday, Israel’s ongoing bombardment of Gaza resulted in 110 Palestinian deaths across the Strip, among them 34 people waiting for food at the US-backed GHF site in Rafah.

The family of Sayfollah Musallet, an American-Palestinian who was beaten to death by Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank, has urged the United States to investigate the incident and hold those responsible accountable.

In the UK, 59 members of the Labour Party have called for official recognition of Palestine as a state and condemned Israel’s plan to forcibly relocate all Palestinians in Gaza to the southern city of Rafah.

According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, the ongoing conflict has claimed at least 57,882 lives and injured 138,095 people. Meanwhile, Israel reports that over 1,139 people were killed during the October 7, 2023 attacks, with more than 200 taken captive.

On July 13, 2025, Palestinians were seen sitting amid the rubble of a house following an overnight Israeli strike on the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza Strip.

Family of Palestinian-American beaten to death by Israeli settlers urges US investigation-

The family of Sayfollah Musallet, a 20-year-old US citizen from Florida who was beaten to death by Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank, is urging Washington to launch an independent investigation and bring the perpetrators to justice.

In a statement, Musallet’s family revealed that Israeli settlers surrounded him for three hours during the attack last Friday and even prevented medics from reaching him.

Known as Saif, he was described as a “kind, hardworking, and deeply respected young man pursuing his dreams.”

“This is an unimaginable nightmare and injustice no family should ever endure,” the statement said.

“We call on the US State Department to immediately investigate this incident and hold the Israeli settlers responsible for Saif’s death. We demand justice.”

What is currently taking place in the occupied West Bank?

Overnight and into this morning, Israeli forces and settlers carried out multiple raids and attacks across the occupied West Bank:

Protesters in Tel Aviv gathered to hold a silent vigil for the children killed in Israeli strikes on Gaza, calling for a comprehensive ceasefire to end the ongoing conflict.
Along the roadside, demonstrators held candles and displayed pictures of the hundreds of children who lost their lives in Gaza, aiming to raise awareness. Meanwhile, another group marched to demand the immediate release of all captives still held in Gaza.
“First and foremost, I feel pain and shame over what has been happening — Israel’s actions over nearly two years: the genocide in Gaza, the killing of thousands of innocent civilians, including almost 20,000 children,” said Ofer Cassif, a member of the Knesset, on Saturday.
He added, “There is also ethnic cleansing underway in the West Bank, with fascism spreading unchecked within Israel.”
Psychologist Helen Reisel commented, “It is absolutely essential to show our care and stand for what we believe in by displaying the images of these innocent children being killed—just as our innocent civilians were massacred on October 7. This war continues solely for political reasons, nothing else.”
